Moment is an analgesic and anti-inflammatory drug containing ibuprofen. Ibuprofen belongs to the therapeutic class of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and is indicated in the treatment of symptoms of mild to moderate headache, muscle pain, menstrual pain, constipation, also when associated with fever, and in the treatment of occasional pain, such as toothache and pain caused by contusions and injuries.
Its mechanism of action consists in reducing pain, inflammation and fever since ibuprofen specifically acts on prostaglandins. These latter are present in the human body and are also responsible for the mechanism underlying pain. Ibuprofen should be administered with caution to asthma patients and to subjects with previous gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcer. Ibuprofen has a rather high tolerability level in all other patients.
