Artific colirio en solución unidosis
Hypromellose

One ml of Artific colirio en solución unidosis contains 3.20 mg of hypromellose as active substance (methocel F4M). The other ingredients are: sodium dodecahydrate hydrogen phosphate, sodium dihydrate hydrogen phosphate, sorbitol, water for injection.

1. WHAT Artific colirio en solución unidosis IS AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
• It is a colourless, transparent and particle-free solution presented in containers with 30 single-dose units of 0.5 ml.
• Artific belongs to the group of artificial tears and eye lubricants.
• This medicine is indicated in the symptomatic treatment of eye dryness.

2. BEFORE YOU USE Artific colirio en solución unidosis
Do not use Artific colirio en solución unidosis
If you know you are allergic to any of the other ingredients of the product.
Pregnancy and Lactation
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using any medicine. There is no experience with regard to the safety of this product during pregnancy or lactation.
Driving and using machines
No effects on the capacity to drive or use machines by the use of Artific colirio en solución unidosis have been described.
Use of other medicines
Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, or have recently used, any other medicine or medicines, even non-prescription drugs.
In intraocular application, no interactions with other medicines have been described to date.

3. HOW TO USE Artific colirio en solución unidosis
Remember to use your medicine.
Follow these instructions unless told to do otherwise by your doctor:
Wearers of soft contact lenses do not need to remove them before the administration of this medicine.
1. Separate the eyedrop single-dose from the strip.
2. Twist the top
3. Apply the eyedrop placing the container perpendicularly to the eye.
If you have impression that the effect of Artific colirio en solución unidosis is too strong or weak, tell your doctor or pharmacist.
Artific colirio en solución unidosis are eyedrops in solution that must be applied to the eye.
You should normally apply one drop to the eye 3 to 5 times a day or more frequently if necessary. The treatment of dry eye syndrome requires an individualised dosing system.
Artific colirio en solución unidosis contains no preservative and therefore wearers of soft contact lenses need not to remove them before they use it.
Artific colirio en solución unidosis should not be kept once opened. Discard the remains of the single-dose bottle after each application.

If you use more Artific colirio en solución unidosis than you should
If you have used more Artific colirio en solución unidosis than you should, see your doctor or pharmacist immediately.
No adverse effects caused by eye overdose are known and no effects of overdose are expected after application to the eye.
In case of overdose or accidental intake, call the Toxicology Information Service on 91 562 04 20.

If you forget to use Artific colirio en solución unidosis
Do not use a double dose to make up for the doses you forgot to use.

4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, Artific colirio en solución unidosis may have adverse effects.
Occasionally, they may produce a burning sensation, blurred vision and sticky eyelids.
If you notice any side effects not mentioned in this leaflet, please inform your doctor or pharmacist.

5. STORING Artific colirio en solución unidosis
Keep Artific colirio en solución unidosis out of the reach and sight of children.
Dispose of the product after use. Do not reuse.
Do not store above 25ºC.

Expiry
Do not use Artific colirio en solución unidosis after the expiry date indicated on the container.
